Shiko Ben-Menahem is a Senior Lecturer (habilitation ETH Zurich) at the Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation, ETH Zurich, and Adjunct Associate Professor at NYU Stern School of Business, Department of Technology, Operations, and Statistics. His research on innovation processes and strategy in industries encompassing healthcare, medical devices, and life sciences has appeared in scientific and practitioner oriented journals including Academy of Management Journal, Nature Biomedical Engineering, Academy of Management Discoveries, Research Policy, MIT Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, BMJ Open, and Long Range Planning. Shiko is a Special Issue Editor for Research Policy, serves on the Editorial Review Board of Academy of Management Discoveries, and is a former Associate Editor and current Editorial Review Board member of European Management Journal.

Research Areas

How digital technology shapes and is shaped by organizational design and organizational innovation processes; Coordination of cross-disciplinary knowledge creation; digital health and innovation in healthcare and pharmaceutical drug development.

Shiko obtained his Ph.D. in Strategic Management at the department of Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He completed his MSc degree in Strategic Management (Cum Laude) from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and his MPhil degree in Business Research (Cum Laude) from the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM).
